Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using any TRANSLYX service (translyx.app, cat.translyx.app, tms.translyx.app), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

2. The Service

TRANSLYX provides a suite of web-based professional translation tools, including TranslyxCAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) and TranslyxTMS (Translation Management System). We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Your Account

• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the service.
• One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Process content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes third-party rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the platform
• Circumvent usage limits or plan restrictions
• Resell or sublicense access to the service

5. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all documents and translations you upload or create. We do not use your translation content to train AI models. You grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the service.

6. Plan Limits and Billing

Free plans are subject to usage limits as described on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.

7. Machine Translation

MT features route text segments to third-party providers (DeepL, Google Translate, MyMemory). By using these features, you acknowledge that your text is transmitted to these providers subject to their own terms of service.

8. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible. We are not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TRANSLYX and Omnivest Global Enterprises (PTY) Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

11. Changes to These Terms

We will notify users of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
