• Account data: email address, name, and password (encrypted) when you register for TranslyxCAT or TranslyxTMS.
• Usage data: translation projects, segments, word counts, and feature usage — used to enforce plan limits and improve the service.
• Contact list data: email address and first name if you subscribe to our mailing list via translyx.app.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, and access logs for security and analytics purposes.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and operate the TranslyxCAT and TranslyxTMS services
• To send transactional emails (account creation, password reset)
• To send product updates and tips if you have subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time)
• To monitor and enforce fair usage of plan limits
• To improve and develop the platform

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted in the EU. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. We use HTTPS across all services. Translation content you upload is stored in your project only and is not used to train any AI models.

4. Third-Party Services

We use third-party service providers to operate our platform. These providers process personal data only to the extent necessary to deliver their specific function and are bound by their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — secure data storage and user authentication
• Resend — email delivery for account and notification emails
• Neural MT providers — machine translation processing (text segments only, no personal identifiers)

5. Your Rights — GDPR (EU & UK)

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to your personal data. You have the following rights:

• Right of access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to erasure: You may request deletion of your personal data where there is no compelling reason for its continued processing.
• Right to restriction: You may request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
• Right to data portability: You may request a machine-readable copy of your data to transfer to another service.
• Right to object: You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing.

6. Your Rights — POPIA (South Africa)

TRANSLYX is a professional translation software suite operated by Omnivest Global Enterprises (PTY) Ltd, a company registered in the Republic of South Africa (Registration No. to be inserted). Our registered contact is info@translyx.app. This policy covers all TRANSLYX services including translyx.app, cat.translyx.app, and tms.translyx.app.

We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA), which governs the lawful processing of personal information in South Africa.

Under POPIA, you have the following rights as a data subject:

• Right to be notified: You have the right to be notified when your personal information is collected and processed.
• Right of access: You may request access to your personal information held by us at any time.
• Right to correction or deletion: You may request that we correct or delete personal information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, or obtained unlawfully.

We use essential session cookies only. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is removed within 30 days. Mailing list subscribers are retained until they unsubscribe.
